lately I've been swearin' my wishbone is breakin' these bones without marrow, while I'll call you tomorrow. My thoughts are fadin' with the lithium I'm takin' just hold on tightly, cause I am slippin.... oh what I'd give, to be rid of this, it's a goddamn curse I'm livin' with andif I don't die then this is permanent; my broken heart, tearing me apart. I've been crying, too much for this woman, I should be sleepin' but I'm too busy dyin' your words are like poison and make no difference in the ending, you're a lie-telling-woman, and you're no friend of mine.... oh what I'd give, to be rid of this it's a goddamn curse I'm livin' with and if I don't die, then this is permanent, my broken heart, tearin' me apart... so if my thoughts are shallow, then leave me tomorrow, I've got no time or patience when your words are all hollow, and don't go saying, you'll try to be better; the time I've given, well it feels like forever...

It started Saturday Morning, avoiding rumours of storm warnings keeping warm in my favourite coat. Of course I'm speaking of the one with pleating, she gave me, but I digress, let's hold up... Sometimes, the girl you've got is not the one you want, you've got to deal with it and carry on. Above the sun was spreading light, you called so we could fight press 'end' and head to a friend's (name I don't recall) it doesn't matter at all, it was that daylight meeting; in the meantime, before I got stuck.... sometime the girl you've got is not the one you want, you've got to deal with it and carry on.... (story ensues)

Well I've got my bacon and bread after working in the fields, I'm feelin' alive again, this is the way I feel; well I feel! Sheepscot General got me feelin' so good, just like I knew it would, supplyin' food for my soul, bringing me in from the cold; well I feel! Well my feet are tired and worn, and my mind is too far gone, if I don't get some food real soon I'll be dead before I finish this song.... well in this dark world I see a light, shining from an open door, when everything is so miserable, you can always go to Sheepscot General Store!

Danger I Reckon! Maine
As best as scholars can figure the first Danger I Reckon came into existence some time between 1923 and 1926 in the deep south. After the utterly brutal guitar fires of 2009... Brandon, Jeff, and Zach were inducted as the newest bearers of the title Danger I Reckon. The current DIR plays a contagious blend of anti-folk Nordic-blues revival (as best as it can be classified). ... more
